If somebody knocks on your door in the middle of the night, the first thing you’re liable to ask is “Who are you?” That’s Gatekeeper. Sometimes, the “who” is all the information you need. But if there’s any doubt, the next bit of information you’ll pry for is “What do you want?” That’s the sandbox. At least, it’s what the sandbox will be, after Apple fixes it.
Sehr guter Artikel von Daniel Jalkut (MarsEdit) über Sandbox und Gatekeeper in OS X. Für was es steht und was Apple noch verbessern muß.

Für mich bedeutet dieses eine Produkt eine problemlose Anwendung ohne Frickeln. Das relativiert dann auch den “goldenem Käfig”.

Wann werden es Firmen, Entwickler, Provider, etc. endlich lernen, daß die Verwendung von persönlichen Daten ohne Freigabe des Eigentümers eine Verletzung der Privatsphäre und des Datenschutzes bedeuten? Wahrscheinlich nie!

Es ist mehr als deutlich, dass ein hipper Musiker heute ein iPad sein Eigen nennen muss! Denn kaum ein neues Produkt scheint mehr ohne eine App oder Funktionalität auszukommen, die eines der Apple Produkte benötigt. Android scheint dabei bislang noch keine Rolle zu spielen.
Was mich wieder daran erinnert, daß ein iPad nur zum Konsumieren geeignet ist

Das Apple daran nicht schon selbst gedacht hat? So ein zeitgesteuertes Mute könnte auch die Diskussion beenden, ob wirklich alles (inkl. Alarme, etc.) stummgeschaltet werden soll.
Keine Sorge wenn Deine Sammlung zu großen Teilen aus Raukopien besteht. Genau das ist der Deal mit der Musikindustrie: Frühere Missetaten werden durch die Jahresgebühr (die zum überwiegenden Teil den Musiklabels zufließt) „gesühnt“ – sprich: legalisiert.
Wenn das mal nicht naiv ist. Aber sei es drum: Gut gemachter Artikel, der auch in den Kommentaren einige Fragen beantwortet.
Bezüglich der 25000 Songs scheint es aber so zu sein, daß die gesamte Anzahl in der iTunes Bibliothek gilt. Zumindest hat das Bernd (@Rosenkrieger) so getweetet.
